Welcome Aboard AliJen Charters

AliJen Charters can only support a maximum party of 6 persons, including children/minors. This is regulated by the US Coast Guard.

No licenses, either fishing or boating, are required for any of our trips as they are covered under AliJen's charter boat fishing license.

Customers are welcome to bring beer or wine in cans only, no glass bottles are permitted onboard. Hard liquor is strictly prohibited.

All drugs, including marijuana, are prohibited. State laws do not apply, as the ocean is under federal jurisdiction.

Please contact us if you need to reschedule or cancel your trip.

To receive a full refund, cancellations must be made at least two weeks before the scheduled departure date. The deposit will be refunded to the original payment method. 

If you cancel within two weeks of the departure date, the deposit will only be refunded if we can schedule another charter for the same day. Otherwise, the deposit can be applied to reschedule for a different day instead of being refunded.

If bad weather forces a cancellation (as decided by the captain at the dock), the deposit will be applied to another day. 

If rescheduling is not possible this season, the deposit will be applied to the next season.

In the event of poor weather developing during the trip, the Captain may decide to downgrade the trip for safety reasons. As an example, full-day offshore may downgrade to full-day insure, full-day inshore may downgrade to half-day inshore, etc. Any appropriate compensation for the downgrade will be handled after the return to the dock.

Do I tip the crew?
YES! Crews work hard for gratuity, and they are appreciated and earned. A 20% tip on the cost of the trip is customary for good hard work and service by the crew.

What happens if it is raining on the day of my trip?

We go out rain or shine and weather cancellations are at the Captains’ discretion. More details regarding weather are listed under "Cancellation Policies".

How do I reschedule a trip?

Do I need to bring any rods or bait?

No equipment is needed. All equipment is onboard our vessel and has been strategically handpicked for the best performance for each respective fishing trip. If there is any equipment you want to bring, it has to be approved by the captain. Contact us for more details.

What should I bring?

A small cooler or bag with food and snacks, water, and beverages is recommended. As well as sunscreen and hats.

If there are children under 12 in your party, please bring a lifejacket for them as well, as we have a limited stock of children’s lifejackets. Emergency lifejackets are onboard, but aren’t comfortable and don’t look good in the pictures!

What if I left something behind after a trip?

Contact us for retrieval of any and all personal belongings.
